these are the terms for rave-dar.com. by entering a room you agree to them and to the privacy policy. they are short because the room is.
ravedar is a room for one night: people going to the same event put up a polaroid, see who else is in the room, and find each other before chance does. we are not the promoter and not the venue. we do not sell tickets, run the door, or control what happens inside. a room can exist for a night we have nothing to do with.
adults only: 18 and over, or 21 and over where the venue says so. by entering you confirm you meet the age for that night. one person, one polaroid; the photo and name you put up are yours or you have the right to use them.
be who you say you are. no impersonation, no photos of someone else as you. no harassment, threats, slurs or hate. no sexual content and nothing explicit sent unasked. no selling, promoting, scamming or spam. no minors, no content involving minors, no asking anyone's age with intent. no recording or sharing someone else's polaroid, thread or card outside the room without their say. if you're blocked, you're blocked; don't come back through another door.
we can take down any polaroid, line, frame, card or thread, and remove anyone from a room or from the site, with or without telling you why. we act on reports. a block from one person hides you from them for good. we can close a room, change the site, or stop running it.
everyone in a room is a stranger until they aren't. meet at the spot you planned, in the open, with your crew knowing where you are. you are responsible for your own safety and your own choices when you meet anyone through a room. we don't vet anyone and we can't.
what you put up stays yours. by putting it up you let us show it in the room, in a found card you made, and in a night's gallery, for as long as those exist or until you take it down. the site, the name, the design and the code are ours.
rave-dar.com is provided as is. a room can be empty, a find can go nowhere, the site can be down at 1am. to the extent the law allows we are not liable for what happens at an event, between people who met in a room, or for losses from using or not being able to use the site. where the law gives you rights we cannot take away, it wins.
if you add a phone number after pinning a polaroid, we text you about that room and nothing else: one text when doors open, and one if something is missing from your card. that is at most two texts per room, never marketing. msg & data rates may apply. reply STOP to any text to stop them; reply HELP, or write to privacy@rave-dar.com, for help. you can also remove the number from your own card. we do not share phone numbers or text opt-in with anyone for their marketing; the number goes through twilio to deliver the text and nowhere else. carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered texts.
these terms are governed by the laws of california, usa. if a part of them is unenforceable the rest still stands. when we change them the date at the top moves; entering a room after that means you agree to the new ones. questions: privacy@rave-dar.com.
